The supported ionic liquid phase (SILP) concept, which included thin films of dispersed onto porous support surfaces, was applied for the gas-phase hydroformylation but-1-ene catalyzed by Rh-bpp (bpp=biphephos ligand) complexes. material silica carefully pre-treated a hydrothermal procedure to induce textural changes concerning pore size. Starting with mean size 3 nm these could be enlarged almost factor 10 up 27 nm. Different particle fractions having same 10±1 were investigated regarding activity. A clear limitation diffusion can found particles larger than 500 ?m in diameter. minimized enlarging To data, dimensionless numbers and criteria calculated, including Thiele-modulus, Mears, Weisz-Prater. All data assumption that occurs around if pores are present.
